- Employee data exchange involves employees making online benefits enrollment selections
and printing confirmation statements directly from the Benelogic system. This active
enrollment process leverages the strength of Benelogic’s business rules that enforce
consistency and validity. This single point of entry encompasses all carrier-based benefit
elections, simplifying enrollment, communication and administration.

- Employer data exchange typically begins with the import of Employee demographic data
into Benelogic. This data is uploaded electronically into Benelogic using a census file
extracted from the Employer’s HRIS or payroll database. Due to the wide
variety of Employer systems, Benelogic can import data in a broad range of formats,
including standard spreadsheet reports and custom ASCII text files. Once an employee
completes the enrollment process in Benelogic, payroll deduction details are returned
electronically to the Employer to be loaded into the Employer’s payroll system. The
format of this deduction file is configured to meet the data import requirements of the
Employer’s HRIS or payroll system.

- Carrier data exchange usually involves sending enrollment eligibility data to
individual insurance carriers who electronically upload the files into their systems.
Benelogic understands Carriers have a wide range of requirements and capabilities, both
in format and content. Flexibility to accommodate these divergent needs is built into
the design and operation of Benelogic that supports successful data exchange. Each new
data exchange partner is welcomed with a proactive approach towards data accuracy and
